The Role

You will work closely with the Managing Director of our Fort Lauderdale regional office (who created the Formula) as well as with our Senior Vice President, Advisory Services. In a nutshell, you will become advocate and champion, focused on and dedicated to enhancing the client's advice delivery experience through the implementation of a systematized and scaled version of The Wealth Empowerment FormulaTM.

You'll interface directly with both our Managing Directors/Wealth Advisers and their clients in the collection of pertinent data according to the Formula, disseminating and analyzing the facts and figures, and providing analysis through quality custom deliverables that provide financial insight beyond current industry standards.

Your specific activities will include:
  • Understanding The Wealth Empowerment FormulaTM and how to apply it to the various facets of each client's financial situation.
  • Proactively interfacing with Managing Directors regarding the accumulation of all necessary client data.
  • Assuming a proactive role as an internal client advocate for our Regional Offices' Managing Directors to provide the education and assistance necessary, answer questions and improve processes for executing the Client Experience seamlessly.
  • Interfacing with each Managing Director and his/her respective support team to complete a comprehensive goals-based gap analysis for each client.
  • Creating custom deliverables for clients based upon the analytical data, assumptive statistics and the clients' personal aspirations and goals.
  • Coordinating the proper specialty knowledge resources to allow the Managing Directors/Wealth Advisors to close the existing financial gaps through the implementation of services and/or financial products we can provide.
  • Effectively managing additional future staff located in different regions to create a consistent message and experience with our Regional Offices.

The Requirements

This position calls for an individual who successfully combines a robust understanding of financial tools, razor-sharp analytical/abstract thinking skills, and exceptional people and communication abilities. In addition, to be a good fit for this opportunity you will have:
  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance.
  • Five to seven years of experience in the financial advisement industry.

  • A current Series 66 (or combined Series 63 & 65) license is preferred.
  • A proven ability to:
  • Design, exclusively for clients, innovative and comprehensive financial management services that are structured and customized solutions to their needs.
  • Gather information, assess alternatives and make sound recommendations while mitigating risk, leveraging expert knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements within the financial industry.
  • Identify, assemble and collaborate with a customized team of specialists to deliver high-quality client service with the highest level of ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment and exchange information and resources necessary to meet shared objectives.
  • Computer savvy and familiarity with Microsoft Office, financial software, CRM applications and the Internet.
  • Good judgment; the ability to solve problems effectively; a strong sense of responsibility, ownership, integrity and honesty; and the ability to deal with confidential information on a daily basis.
You also will need to be willing and able to travel 35% to 40% of the time to our pilot offices as well as to central training locations such as Newport Beach and Dallas. You can expect to organize and facilitate a two-day session with each of the pilot offices every six to eight weeks.

The Formula

The Wealth Empowerment FormulaTM is a powerful tool that will make it easier for our Advisers help their clients achieve the best possible outcomes. It is the formal and systematic process we utilize to:
  • Engage clients in Honest ConversationsTM about priorities,
  • Intake and organize each client's financial data,
  • Perform a goals-based gap analysis across every facet of the client's financial life to determine where they are vs. where the need to be,
  • Prioritize the areas of initial focus and improvement, and
  • Effectively communicate what needs to be done.
The Formula is thorough but very user friendly, and creates a score for each of 41 metrics. Scores are simple to understand, action-oriented and color coded, ranging from 0 (red alert) to 5 (green light). United Capital can help directly with 27 of the 41 areas, and for the other areas we partner with other firms. For example, we will arrange a formal assessment of home protection at no cost to the client.
